Women's Day

Women and girls make up around 50 per cent of any refugee, internally displaced or stateless population, and those who are unaccompanied, pregnant, heads of households, disabled or elderly are especially vulnerable.

What UNHCR is doing to help? Protection’ is one of the main pillars of UNHCR’s mandate and there are more than 20 million women in the world who need our protection. We design our services and programs with our ‘Age, Gender and Diversity Approach’. This ensures that no one is left out when we design services for basic living, education, health, livelihoods and access to a safer place to restart lives.

UNHCR is participating with its booth at the Dubai Women Run on 17th November 2017 to raise the voices for refugee women.

Give your voice for refugee women, so the world can hear theirs.
